Tonight the Wichita Wingnuts finish a three-game series against the Fort Worth Cats at LaGrave Field. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm. The Cats beat the Wingnuts 8-7 last night to take the first two games of the series.
The Starters:
Wichita: LHP Leonard Landeros (5-2, 5.10) - Landeros last worked on 7/1 at Pensacola. He allowed three earned runs in five innings of work in a winning effort. Landeros is 3-1 with a 6.26 ERA on the road in five starts:
Fort Worth: LHP Joel Kirsten (5-1, 3.03) - Kirsten last worked on 7/1 at Shreveport, allowing four earned runs in 6.2 IP in a no-decision. He is 2-1 with a 2.79 ERA at home in six starts. He beat the Wingnuts on 5/22 in Wichita, allowing three runs in seven innings.

Tonight the Wingnuts play game two of a three-game series against the Fort Worth Cats at LaGrave Field. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm. The Cats beat the Wingnuts 9-3 last night.
The Starters:
Wichita: Justin Young (3-2, 3.71) - Young last worked on 6/28 at Sioux City, allowing five runs, three earned, in 4.0 IP. He took a no-decision in an eventual Wingnuts’ win. He is 0-1 with a 4.85 ERA in five starts on the road this year. Young beat Fort Worth on 5/19 in Wichita, allowing one run in eight innings.
Fort Worth: LHP Ryan Riddle (3-4, 3.90) - Riddle last worked on 7/2 at Shreveport out of the bullpen, allowing two earned runs in 1.1 IP of relief. He is 3-1 with a 2.27 ERA in five starts at home. Riddle took a no-decision against the Wingnuts on 5/21 allowing three runs in five innings.

Tonight the Wingnuts open a three-game series against the Fort Worth Cats at LaGrave Field in Texas. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm. The Wingnuts defeated the Pensacola Pelicans last night by a final score of 5-2 to take two of three. The Wingnuts won three of four from the Cats in Wichita earlier this year.
The Starters:
Wichita: LHP Richard Salazar (2-2, 3.10) - Salazar last worked on 6/27 at Sioux City. He earned the win allowing two earned runs in 5.1 IP, while striking out a season high six. Salazar is 1-2 with a 4.22 ERA in six appearances away from home. This will be his third start of the year.
Fort Worth: RHP Lee Gwaltney (5-0, 1.94) - Gwaltney, who was picked released by the Padres organization earlier this spring, last worked on 6/27 at El Paso. He allowed three earned runs in 7.0 IP and earned the win. He has won five consecutive starts and is 1-0 with a 1.29 ERA in three starts at home.

Wichita: LHP Brad Davis (4-5, 3.84) - Davis last worked on 6/25 vs. Shreveport allowing three earned runs in six innings of work while taking a no-decision. He is 1-5 with a 5.08 ERA on the road in six starts this year.

Tonight the Wichita Wingnuts kickoff the second half of the season with a three-game series against the Pensacola Pelicans at Pelican Park. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35pm. The Wingnuts finished the first half 26-21, second place and 4.5 games back of the division-winning Canaries.
The Starters:
Wichita: Leonard Landeros (4-2, 5.06) - Landeros last worked on 6/23 vs. Shreveport, allowing two earned runs in 6.2 IP en route to the win. Landeros struck out a season-high eight batters. He is 2-1 with a 6.45 ERA on the road in four starts this year.

Tonight the Wichita Wingnuts conclude a two-game series with the Sioux City Explorers at Lewis and Clark Park. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm. Tonight is also the final game of the first half for Wichita. The Wingnuts can clinch sole possession of second place in the North Division with a win.

Tonight the Wichita Wingnuts finish a three-game series vs. the Shreveport Sports at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm. Shreveport beat Wichita last night by a score of 4-2. With the loss, the Wingnuts were eliminated from the first half race.
